Whether it already has or you’re just beginning to think about pregnancy, this two hour workshop will give you an overview of how Pilates can help you from start to finish. We’ll guide you through exercises with specific modifications you can use in classes to keep you comfortable during pregnancy, strong during labor, and healthy postpartum.

Runners Workshop

Professional Run Coach, Pilates Instructor, and life long runner, Jen Ares-Cruz, leads a quick jog to the East River Promenade where every individual receives a personalized Running Form Assessment. Jen will teach you proper running form and adjustments to support your goals and minimize the risk of injury. Over the course of the workshop, Jen guides each individual through preventative and restorative Pilates exercises you can do anywhere. Stride stronger with NYP! Tension Release

Stiff neck? Tight shoulders? Sore hips? Figure out what causes tension in your body and ways to alleviate tension with rockstars, Rachel and Nwando. In two blissful hours of muscle relaxing they will guide you through myofascial release techniques and active stretching to care for the areas where you hold tension from your shoulders down to your hips, legs, and feet. Figure out what habits cause your personal tension, how your muscles and fascia interact, and the small steps you can take through your day to keep your body healthy and tension-free. Anatomy Essentials

This one is for our seasoned Pilates Peeps! Explore the complexity of the human form with body experts, Kat and Emma. With a combined 7 years of Pilates instruction, Kat and Emma will take you through the human body in this 2 hour intensive. Learn about biomechanics, complete a lab about your personal habits, and learn fancy anatomical jargon to impress your instructors and confuse your friends! You’ll leave knowing your body inside and out.
