How did you get into Pilates?
I’ve been doing Pilates for 8 years, and I did it intensely for my wedding. I’ve been a gym rat, and it completely changed my body compared to other types of workouts. I took Pilates all throughout my pregnancy, and I bounced right back after.
Why is Pilates your passion?
Pilates made me learn about my body and how to keep on improving it. I love the depth of learning it provides and how it changes bodies. Pilates is better than any workout! Its functionality makes you feel and move better.
Why did you become an instructor?
I used to work in retail as a buyer, but then I had my daughter. It was a crazy lifestyle, and I knew I didn’t want to stay working in that industry. I’ve always been passionate about Pilates, and I decided to make my passion my career!! I wanted to help people with what I learned, especially throughout pregnancies and young moms.
What makes your class unique?
I definitely love making people feel things that they’ve never felt before, like finding awareness in their body. I also love helping people see and feel results (with soreness for 3 days). My class is definitely hard and challenging, with a super focus on form.
Why do you love NYP?
So many reasons. Contemporary approach, creativity of instructors, and I love the vibe. NYP is a beautiful place you want to be in. I love that it’s making Pilates mainstream, cool, and hard. Everyone should do it! Pilates shouldn’t only be for elderly, postpartum, or injured.
How long have you been an instructor?
