How did you get into Pilates?
I’ve been a mover my whole life – I’m a dancer with a circus background, and I first took Pilates in college to cross-train. After my first class on a reformer, everything just clicked. It’s been an amazing tool to continue to discover my love of movement.
Why is Pilates your passion?
Pilates deepens my own movement practice and takes it to the next level. I’ve taken hundreds of ballet classes, and after training in Pilates, I found even more physical freedom.
Why did you become an instructor?
After growing my own experience and movement practice, I wanted to pay this forward by teaching others. I want to help others discover their body’s potential by connecting to it. You watch the evolution and growth for clients, and that’s a significant improvement for their lives.
What makes your class sweaty?
As an athlete myself, I will push you to be your most athletic self. I may come off as fun and playful… but I will make you hold that plank (with a smile, of course)!
Why do you love teaching at NYP?
I love NYP! The whole environment within the company has such a great, welcoming energy that I felt even before I started teaching. I connect with all of the students, and this community is only getting deeper and closer.
How long have you been an instructor?
My certs include Pilates Equipment in 2014, 500 hours of BASI, TRX, CoreAlign, and pre-natal Pilates.
